Spring Season Schedule

This season practice will be on MONDAYS ONLY from 3:30-5:30 at the Sandy Healing Fields. Our first practice is next week, March 4th! We are switching to one practice a week for two reasons. Firstly, by hosting only one practice a week, I hope players will prioritize practice time, participate more, and create more constructive practices. Secondly, I am currently a college student and working a full time job, so it is hard for me to find the time to host practice more than once a week. If there is a big demand for more practice time, I can look into finding an assistant coach to lead conditioning practices on Thursdays.

Games will be after school on WEDNESDAYS anytime from 3:30-7:30. All game days will be double-headers. Alliance we be registered as a DIII open 5v5 team for the Spring 2024 season.

7v7 UVU Tournament (3/8 – 3/9)

Utah Valley University is hosting a high school invitational tournament on March 8th and 9th, and we have been invited! Times have not yet been announced but most likely it will be an all morning event both days. This is a low-stakes tournament that is meant to be a warmup for the upcoming season. This tournament will be an excellent way to jump right into the season, and I highly encourage everyone participate! If you are interested in playing, please text me ASAP (208-901-2327). We’re trying to get at least 10 players for this tournament!

YouThaw 3v3 Tournament (3/16)

This is another low-stakes tournament that is held on March 16th from 3-10pm in Salt Lake City. It is a round-robin style tournament with 25 minute rounds. It’s fast paced and more small-ball focused. This is a fun way to develop chemistry with teammates and hangout with the ultimate community! To reigster, check out their website:

Utah Wild Hat Tournament (3/23)

Utah Wild is Utah’s women’s professional team and they host this tournament to raise money for their season! When you register for the tournament, you throw your name into a “hat” and get randomly assigned 4 teammates that you play with for the whole tournament. This tournament goes from 11-4 on March 23rd. Its a great way to meet new people in the ultimate community and get practice! You also get into the Wild game for free after the tournament! Daweena (4/26 – 4/27)

This is the first of our two big tournaments! Daweena will be after school April 26th and all day April 27th. This tournament is used to help determine our seed for the state tournament, so we want to bring our all! More information about this tournament will be released as it gets closer.

State Tournament (5/10 – 5/11)

State this year will be May 10th and 11th at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City. Games will be played ALL DAY on both days. This is the culmination of all our work during the season. I want everybody to show up to this tournament! I’ll be sending more information out as we approach the beginning of May.

Registration

UUDA will be handling all of the USAU memberships this year, which means one less thing for us to worry about! To register, please Venmo @alliance_ultimate. In the notes leave the name of the player you wish to register. You can still come to practice if you are not registered, but you will not be allowed to play in games or tournaments.

Dues First Look

This is a preliminary estimate on how much it will cost each player to play this season. If you need help with funds or have any questions, feel free to contact me. Nothing needs to be paid right now (except for the league registration fee). I will send out more newsletters requesting fees when necessary.
