It’s tournament season! We have a lot of ultimate to play this week, so please read all the way to the end to check on everything that’s happening!

Practice

Practice will be at the Sandy Promenade in front of Sandy City Hall on Monday, from 3:30 – 5:30 as usual! We will be going over all of our set plays to prepare for the tournament! Please be on time so we can make it through all of them

Games

We have another double header this week! Our first game is against Copper Hills at Riverside Park at 4:30. Please have cleats on ready to warmup by 4:00. Our second game is our last D1 crossover game this season vs the West Krakens at 6:30 (same field). I expect this to be our most competitive game yet! Get excited!

Daweena (Friday / Saturday)

Daweena is this weekend! This is a big tournament with almost every team in Utah, and will heavily influence our seed placement for the State Tournament. UUDA still has not released game times, however I anticipate the first game on Friday to be around 4:00. Games will last all afternoon Friday and most of the day Saturday, starting at 9:00. All games will be played at the Salt Lake Regional Athletics Complex. We will discuss more details at practice tomorrow.

Salt Lake Shred Home Opener (4/27)

Salt Lake’s professional ultimate frisbee team is playing their season opener against Washington DC this Saturday after the tournament! I’m hoping to have our team show up to watch the game after the tournament. Tickets are 21 dollars online, or 25 if you buy them at the stadium. I highly encourage everyone to show up to the game and watch some high level ultimate!
